To celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary, I approached Discover Records to create a fresh take on their logo for this very special occasion.

As Discover were running many promotions around their 2011 anniversary period, I knew that the logo would be used in many situations and contexts so needed to be versatile.

The label were planning live events with artists from their catalogue across the globe, creating merchandise and tie-in promotions which all needed to advertise the anniversary.

To create the anniversary logo, I used the original ‘Discover’ wording for consumer recognition, and created an ‘extension’ which would look visually pleasing and readable.

I created a package for Discover to provide to third parties containing a ‘usage’ guide alongside the logo in many different formats:

My logo was also used on a T-Shirt

- Vector EPS format logo for Print use. 300DPI, CMYK
- A Photoshop PSD for those of you without vector software. 300DPI, CMYK
- JPEG versions for web in White on Black, Black on White, and a nostalgic ‘White on Red’ version with the classic ‘Discover’ Red backing – Pantone Red 22. 72DPI RGB
- Transparent PNG Black or White versions of the logo for use on complex backgrounds on the web. 72DPI RGB
You can Download the comprehensive logo package here.

To announce the anniversary, I was asked to also create a tie-in eFlyer to be sent out to Discover’s promotional partners and their opt-in subscribers. See the promotional eFlyer I designed to promote the logo and the celebrations around the anniversary.
